Route66
Route66 series consists of two different units: Route66 as well as WDM Frame to provide multiple external WDM connections to the large scale Router system. The devices are capable of 66 channels of routing, signal repeating, as well as signal conversion between electrical and optical.
Route 66 device can be customized to meet the most sophisticated requirements.
Route 66 is signal independent and can be used to route and repeat signals such as 3G/HD/SD-SDI, MADI, Ethernet, Optocore as well as optical signals from third party devices (such as SMPTE cameras).
The devices are built on 2RU frames, depending on the quantity and type of electrical and fiber interfaces required.
Frame can be equipped with:
- up to 24 BNC ports for 3G/HD/SD-SDI video,
- up to 20 duplex LC fiber ports, and up to 36 simplex LC fiber ports.
Route66 series can be additionally equipped with:
- built-in CWDM or DWDM multiplexer modules
- Optocore FX module with 1024 channel Optocore fiber links, 64 channel MADI audio ports on Cat5, 4 RS485/422 ports, 100Mbit Ethernet switch and a Word Clock I/O
Route 66 may be equipped with a built-in redundant power supply with an automatic switchover.
Route66 devices are populated with router channels, I/O and multiplexers at the time of manufacturing, according to customer’s specifications.
Route66 series can be controlled by Optocore Control software, external hardware or software control platform or by using automated routing, according to customer’s specifications.
Route66 series is perfect for a customised studio infrastructure, acting as a centralised video, audio, data router with Mux22 or Repeat48 connected as floor boxes providing the required I/O to the remote locations. Route 66 devices may as well be configured as switched or automatic Optocore routers, providing the capability to build Optocore networks in a star topology or as a mixture of ring- and star topology.
When the system is large and requires multiple WDM channels, BroaMan additionally offers an external passive WDM frame, which can be fitted with a large number of CWDM or DWDM modules. The frame allows for up to 160 fiber ports.
For large and complex Route66 systems BroaMan provides external WDM Frame offering passive CWDM or DWDM multiplexing of multiple fiber channels. Single WDM frame can be equipped with maximum 160 LC fiber ports.
